I'm trying to decide between these Kingston HyperX DDR3 chips: Fury 1866Mhz CL10 (HX318C10FR/8) vs Savage 1600Mhz CL9 (HX316C9SR/8). Motherboard is Asus H97M-E - it supports XMP but is limited to 1600Mhz. Neither chip is officially qualified for that mobo but I don't expect any problems there. According to datasheets, Fury one would be running at 1600Mhz with JEDEC timings CL9-10-9 and Savage with JEDEC CL11-11-11 or XMP CL9-9-9 (I would obviously be using XMP). 1600Mhz version of Fury (HX316C10FR/8) has higher latencies (10-10-10) than 1866 version running at 1600Mhz which is why I would go with 1866 version even if it will be limited to 1600Mhz. With Savages there's no latency difference between 1600 and 1866 models running at 1600Mhz so I'm not interested in 1866 version (HX318C9SR/8). Savage line is a bit more expensive but not enough to be a deciding factor so it comes down to 9-10-9 JEDEC vs 9-9-9 XMP at same frequency. I assume the real world performance difference to be unperceivable so I'm basically asking if anyone can think of any drawbacks to using one or the other. Thanks.

You will never notice a difference. Even running benchmarks they're going to be so close it almost won't be a distinguishable difference. 1.5v 1600 cas 9 is pretty standard.
