Trying to decide between two monitors. My current setup is a 6700k with a GTX1070. I have a old monitor that is 27" 1080 LG from years back. I'm trying to decide between two resolution formats.
2560x1080 vs 3440 x 1440. I usually play BF1 or Arma 3,etc. I hear that 2560x1080 with a lower DPI makes icons on the desktop huge, but the benefit is higher HZ like 144+ depending on what settings. All around 3440x1440p looks nicer, but you suffer from lower HZ. Not sure if you can lower the resolution to 1080p if you can? for higher fps Or if its just stuck in its native res.?
Here are the two monitors i'm trying to decide on. I don't really think I can afford a G-Sync monitor at the moment, nor will I really need it.
