Help deciding CPU + GPU .

Hey guys , I have a big confusion of choosing the cpu + gpu . ***I haven't bought the CPU , Mobo , GPU and PSU .***

I play games like BF3 , GTA 4 , Crysis 2 at 1366 x 768 . Hoping to upgrade to 1080p display in the future .

Either Core i5 3470 + HD 6570 OR Core i3 3220 + HD 6870 .

Other part of build :
Mobo : MSI Z77MA-G45
PSU : Corsair TX650 650W
RAM : 8GB Kingston


Or should I keep the HD 6870 and lower the budget for Mobo and PSU ?

I suggest getting the i5 and then upgrading the GPU, it's easier upgrading a GPU. The 6570 is not an amazing GPU but will play those games with some settings turned down, what is your exact budget?

I would suggest buying the [strike]i3[/strike] and a better GPU, such as the 7850 or 7770.

Well it all depends on what YOU want your rig to do... but I wouldn't suggest the i3 or the 6870.

Of course if you're not trying to run any current AAA games on ultra than it looks like a capable PC for some MMO gaming, VALVe games... ect.

I'd recommend going with the i5 and use your remaining money to buy perhaps a 7870. It might be a little every cash, but GPU's aren't things you should skimp on.

Think of it like this - spend an extra $50-$100 on a GPU now, and be set for about a year or two. Or spend $150 and have to upgrade again in only a few months.
