Hi. I'm currently looking for a laptop mainly for school but as well as light gaming when school is done. I do not care too much about heavy gaming so the specs for those aren't entirely needed. Better battery life is a must and also the price (around $700)
There are 4 laptops that I'm currently looking at:
http://shop.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/lenovo/z-series/z40/
$689 (4th model)
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4510U Processor (2.00GHz 1600 MHz 4MB)
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64
Display
14.0" FHD Glossy with integrated camera (1920x1080)
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT 820M 2GB
Memory
8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
Hard Drive
Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD
This is the one I am currently leading on.
http://shop.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/lenovo/u-series/u430p/
$719 (3rd model)
Processor
4th Generation Intel Core i5-4210U Processor (1.70GHz 1600MHz 3MB)
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64
Display
14.0" FHD LED AntiGlare Backlight (1920x1080)
Graphics
Intel® HD Graphics 4400
Memory
8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
Hard Drive
Hybrid 500GB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD
The batteries on these are really good (10 hours on Windows 8 idle @150 nits)
Also has a backlit keyboard which I find is nice.
And

(This one I'm not entirely sure I'd want as it's main use is gaming but I'd thought I'd add it to the list since it's really nice + price. Although the 2nd model is really pushing the budget).
$729-799 (1st and 2nd model) Would the extra $70 be worth the i7 + added HD?
