Hi all,

My 6 years old 32inch Samsung tv(720p) that I use as a monitor finally broke. So now I am looking for a decently priced 27inch 1080p monitor to replace it.

My budget is around €300 and prefer it to be either PLS or VA or IPS if possible since I watch movies on it and only do some moderate gaming.

These are the two monitors that I am considering right now:

BenQ GW2760HS:

Samsung S27D590PL:
http://www.amazon.de/Samsung-S27D590...ords=S27D590PL

The two above monitor are priced below €300 - what do yous think or do you guys have any recommendations?

Also another question and kind of off topic - I plan to purchase the monitor from amazon.de since the price seems much better compared to amazon.co.uk or any Irish website(I live in Ireland). Does anyone have any experience buying monitor from amazon.de? Are there any hidden charges I should be aware of? Will the monitor's OSD be in English?

Thanks

Here is the guide I would stick to. Thorough review of top monitors.

To answer your second qestion. I have bought off amazon.de, living in DE though. There are no "hidden charges" except delivery, which I'm not sure how Amazon will handle.

Normally, if you buy off .co.uk it sometimes orders items from the EU s.a.rl. anyway (which could come from Germany in some cases) and it adds its shipping costs into the price pretty much.

You need to go as far possible in the purchasing process without actually buying it, to see the possibilities. I think the sticking point here will be shipping.
