Hi all,

So far, this is what will be in my rig:
ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 - mobo
Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W - CPU
EVGA 04G-2983-KR GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 ACX 2.0 PCI Express 3.0 - GPU

Now, as far as ram goes I'm debating between these two:
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) Memory KitModel F4-2666C16Q-16GRB - Timing 16-16-16-36 - $229.99
VS
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C15Q-16GRR - Timing 15-15-15-35 - $449.99

So, the price difference is huge. My question is do you think the timing, frequency, etc, is worth the huge price increase? I game fairly intensely on my PCs, but I'm not entirely sure what the practical difference on timing that close is (and frequency). I know a 2 hop down in timing is big, but is 1 that noticeable? Also, are there any models between the two that are better suited? Any input appreciated! Thanks!
