I have been looking at get some monitors for pc and console gaming and I think I had found some that look pretty good but I don't know which is better. The consoles that I will be using are a Xbox one S and a standard ps4 along with my pc which I will post the specs for at the bottom. I want a nice resolution as well as g-sync as I'm using a nivida card and I want a high refresh rate. Thanks for the help.

Acer XB271HU and PG279Q are the alternatives to the Dell. I think there are also offerings from HP in the Omen series and possibly Lenovo Legion. I haven't really been keeping track.

Well the Dell is certainly the nicer monitor at QHD, but if your goal is high refresh then the FHD Acer will get you more FPS since there is less work to do.

GTX1070 is only capable of about 70FPS in recent high demanding titles at max settings at 2560x1440. At 1920x1080 then it would do fine.

But if that is the case, then that Acer panel is overpriced. You can get the ASUS 240hz monitor for only $20 more:

I have been using the pc on a 49 inch 4k tv for almost a year and all the games I play are usually maxed out. I play a lot of like rocket league and like dirt 4 and I have never had any issues running any of the games I throw at it with running at max settings. I would prefer a bigger sized monitor than say 24-25 as I'm more use to playing games on tv's (ex. 32-49) over the years.

I have a QHD monitor and an overclocked GTX1080. At Max settings there are plenty of games out there I can't run above 90FPS or so. But I planned for that, at some point I will replace the GPU (Probably Nvidia's next process node shrink)

Running 4K at 60hz on games like rocket league, I am not surprised you can max it out. (Dirt 4, I've seen it run a few times but I can't recall how demanding it really is)

Typical benchmark I like to compare most things to is the Battlefield series at whatever the default ultra setting is. You can certainly tone it down to achieve more in any title up to your CPUs limits. But certainly some of the CryEngine titles and perhaps some of the upcoming Unreal titles will put a little stress on a GTX1070.

Hmm, not many size choices between 27" QHD and 4K TVs. There is 3440x1440 at 34" which is the popular choice, but that is more like $1000. ASUS and Acer have 4K 120hz panels but still only 27". Plenty of 32" models, but then you might as well keep using the TV.

I suppose it depends on if you want to prioritize speed or size.

I don't want a tv to play games on except the other consoles I have Xbox one x and ps4 pro. I want to use some monitors for the pc and other consoles that aren't as demanding. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a monitor $500-600. 1080p or 1440 is good for me as long as the screen is nice and the colors aren't dull with a good response time and g-sync.
