Ok So I use a razer naga elite wireless mouse and I was getting errors that windows didnt recognize the driver and the mouse would stop working, So after installing and uninstalling the drivers to no sucess I deleted everything razer (their software) from my computer and restarted only to find out that not a single mouse or key board will respond (even non razer) and my computer also booted in low res and because nothing will work I cant even sign in to get to my home screen.

My mouse and keyboard will work on the bios screens but as soon as windows boots I cannot get any kind of response and therefore cannot sign into windows and fix this mess.

I tried all the windows repair and troubleshooting to no avail...I tried going back to a previous day through the windows repair only to have that fail...The only thing I have not been able to "refresh" my Pc because I don't have my win 8.1 disc with me.

Any ideas?

Solution
Hook up a non-Razor keyboard and mouse.

Then I want you to power up your system, and press and hold the F8 key as it is booting. You should end up at the Safe Mode menu. Select Safe Mode with networking from the menu.

At this point you should have a functional Keyboard and Mouse.

Now, I want you to open Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows. Locate the cmd file. it may show a .exe on the end, depending how your system is setup. Now make a shortcut of that on the desktop by right clicking.

Now close Explorer.

Now, that shortcut to cmd which should be on the desktop, I want you to right click on it. Choose Run as Admin, and run it. A window will open up that looks like a small DOS window from years ago. There will be a flashing cursor...

This is a Windows utility that will check each protected Windows file, and replace it if its not what it should be. This will take a while to finish running. When its done, it might say that some errors were found and could not be fixed. I think it says that every time it runs. So do not panic. When its done, close the cmd window, and restart. See if that keyboard works with a normal boot process now or not.

This may fix that problem. If not, we will try something else. Let me know how things go.

Solution
Thanks for the response MarkW but here is the problem of carrying that out... When I finally get to safe mode w/ net working it asks me to enter my password like I signing into my pc and I cannot do that because nothing works. Any clue how to bypass this?

The keyboard is not working at that point? The reason I asked you to go into safe mode is because it uses drivers that should never stop working. It does not use the drivers that would be used when you boot to the desktop.

Have you tried using other USB ports? Another keyboard?

If you live near a Walmart, you can order a Logitech Keyboard K120 online, and go pick it up at the store for only $8.49. Its not much of a keyboard but it will get you logged in if the Razer keyboard is dead.

Do you have a second computer?

If you can get a working keyboard, and get into safe mode, and you have a DVD burner, we can get you a working Windows DVD made.
