Help Diagnosing not passing post. All rgb but mobos work

So just built my second pc.

Cpu Ryzen 7 2700x (fan works + rgb)
Ram G skill rgb (rgb lights up while plugged in and on)
Motherboard x470 gigabyte aorus ultra gaming
Gpu Amd RX580(from previous build)
PSU corsair 750w modular 80+

Observations:

-Cpu error light is on motherboard, but u would expect the motherboard rgb to work regardless.

-Tried both Dvi and HDMI

-Once pc is turned on the power button doesn't work to turn it off.

-No "q code" appears where it claims to be

-turning on psu makes mobo Rgb flash

-I saw the mobo rgb occasionally go on during power on for less than a second.


Anyone know what to do tl diagnose the issue further based on the reactions, I'm torn between blaming the mobo over the cpu even though the cpu lights on for failure

do you have an old HDD connected ? what storage devices are you using?

No storage connected as of yet. I was just wanting to prove it can hit bios before I take hdds out of my previous pc
