Question Help diagnosing subwoofer

So after watching a movie for some time my subwoofer begins having a horrible rattling sound. This is a new development. It seems that after I let it rest some it goes back to being ok for a short amount of time, even during scenes that previously had the rattle.

Is something overheating?

You probably have an incorrect crossover setting. Might want to mention your audio setup/equipment's. Images of the settings on your amp's/receivers/sub would help us two fold.
