HELP : Do i need to update my BIOS for this CPU ?

i'm running a Asus z170 pro gaming motherbord on bios version 2003
i want to upgrade my cpu to a intel core i7 7700k
do i need to update my motherbord or not ?

its all a bit confusing to me , thanks

You'll need to update your BIOS version to at least 3016 since that version is the oldest that supports Kaby Lake CPUs,

Though, the latest BIOS version for your MoBo is 3610,

You need bios version 3007 as a minimum for the i7-7700K. I would suggest updating to the latest bios, version 3801.

You sure that you checked the correct MoBo BIOS versions?
OP has Asus Z170 Pro Gaming and latest BIOS for it is version 3610 as i stated above,
