Hi, I have a Radeon HD 6970 that I would like to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 with, but when I get launch the game, I get an error saying I have driver version 0.0.0 and I need at least 17.6 I think it was. How can I fake my driver version so SWBF2 thinks I have the newer drivers and lets me play?

This is one reason I never recommend people buy older videocards that no longer get driver support. No matter how low cost they are, if you can't play a game you want to play then it'll seem like a waste of money.

If you've owned this card a long time, you're in a slightly different position. You've got good use out of it, but now you can see for yourself it's time to move on. This card is no longer capable of doing what you need it to do.

Yes I know. I got this card for free from my uncle. The thing is it plays the first battlefront at 60 fps at ultra. If it can do that than I don't want to blow money on a new card. Keep in mind this card is better than an rx 550. if your going to tell me to buy a new card, then don't bother. I just need a way to fake the driver version, like here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Bypassing-Driver-requirement-for-launch/td-p/4856101 but more specific because I am afraid I will do it wrong. please help
