Hey guys,

It has been a while. But I am facing a dilemma here. I currently have 3 x ASUS VX238H. I am going to be upgrading my old GTX 460's to the 980 ti (or 970's, but that's a different issue lol).

SO, I'm trying to find replacement monitors. This time with the following specs:

- IPS
- 23" - 27" (Higher is preffered)
- Glossy Panel (I don't want matte - and I know this is the biggest issue, but that gloss tho~)
- 1440p or higher.
- no more than $500 each. (Obviously lower is better, but I can buy one every month until I have 3)

Now I cannot seem to find something that really "pops" or that I can say 100% this is it. I keep looking, and I keep finding many monitors that make me want to click "buy" but as soon as I find out it is a matte finish, I flip out. It's alot more difficult than I thought to find a monitor that is glossy (while being a reputable brand).

So here's my questions (yeah I know long story), does anyone have any personal choices or selections of any monitors that meet my criteria? Alot of etailers don't bother to list if it is matte or glossy, and I feel like that only way to find the right monitor, is to see it in person, but I have no way of seeing all of these in person, so I'm hoping you guys can give me some input & feedback from what you have seen or used in person.

I really appreciate the help guys, thanks!

Yea I noticed, sadly. But I know there are still a few out there, just hard to find them.

I've seen matte IPS monitors in person, the color & quality is great, definitely better than your standard LCD but I had a glossy IPS and a matter IPS next to each other - gloss is like eye candy to me.

afraid you might be in the minority liking glossy

personally i hate screen reflections--in the right conditions where you can control sunlight electric lighting etc

then yes glossy is great

so many monitors to pick from probably makes your search even harder

maybe narrow it down first by price--resolution--size--refresh rate etc then check if the ones left are glossy

I think I am, as much as matte works for the office - I love the gloss look for my home (which in my game room, I have no light issues for gloss)

I was just trying out the site right now, haven't been able to find info on screen finish. Still tinkering so maybe I'm just not seeing it yet.

Hah, just used that selector tool. I had a blank page for results. Thanks, but I don't think it likes me lol.

lol--never tried the selector so not sure if it works

but once you narrow down the monitors their reviews are really detailed

hopefully some one will chip in some glossy suggestions for you to consider

I appreciate your help! Hopefully someone has some hands-on experience they may be willing to share x)

Well I gave up on 1440p, I decided to stick to a 1080p for now. I was about to shoot for a 4k2k monitor for Acer (matte tho -_____-) but I'm gonna wait a while until 4k2k is more refined for my new 980 ti xD. For anyone who ends up searching and finding my questions, here's what I settled for:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260217

It's a Dell S2415H. Ermahgurd, a Dell.

Not the best, especially with a 6ms RT, buuut It had the slimmest bezel I saw from any other glossy IPS monitor. Bought 3 of them to surround them - so I valued seamless over RT. Sure I went from 1ms to 6ms, but that gloss tho! Ahh! lol.

This is kind of an old thread, but I am having the same issue. I am trying to find a glossy finish monitor and none of the websites list whether or not the monitor is glossy or matte.
