Help finding a good compatible heatsink+fan.

Couple questions. My two 260's pretty much are stacked on top of each other. I have never used an after market heatsink on a GPU before, but it looks like they trim down the size of the card alot, true?

Are there any coolers that are GOOD and compatible with both the 260's and the 400's? I'll probably be upgrading around Christmas time and if I could use the same cooler that would be great.

I doubt there is a compatible cooler for the 260 and the 400.

As far as trimming the cards down, the only way to make them smaller is use H20. Anything with a fan is gonna bulk them up.

I have the accelero for my GTX280 and it takes up 2 1/2 slots. When i SLi them on a 3 PCi-e board, i have to use the top and the bottom slots. With the card on the bottom slot the fans are on the PSU, protected by the grate of course.

LMFAO the MK13 is so big!!

yea the other one i posted i believe was this

http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/vga/hr03plus/product_vga_cooler_hr03plus.htm

I was about to buy that when my accelero went out.(they sent me a new one free of charge.) but anyway the thermalright hr-03 mounts on the card heatsink, then wraps around above(or below the card however you look at it) and saves the space underneath the card.

But will that work for SLI? Do you know how many slots it will take above it instead of below like others would? It actually looks like it would work.....I guess you would have to add a fan somewhere in there :D

Dude! i was just making other suggestions and i agree with the accelero as a cost effective solution btw.
But the MK-13 will definitely find its market share the cooler only takes up one slot.
The fans mount on one rail which can support 2- 4 fans.
I would classify the Thermalright Spitfire as effing big.

"If you were to use two MK-13's in an SLI or Crossfire setup then the V-profile bar would be able to hold a fan above both coolers / cards"

i guess it would be gpu/gpu/fans?

those black RAM heatsinks look purty. I had to buy some Zalman ones cause the RAM heatsinks that came w/ the accelero were horrible.
