Help finding a psu to fit my needs ~100$ max

Hey, I've been needing a new pus since my current seems to die when I play games on max settings without vertical sync as well as I plan to have future sli along with a cpu upgrade from fx 4300 to fx 8350. Can anyone tell me if the amount of watts is too much or too little and what would be alright to get?

Psu: an old 500w
Gpu: Msi gtx 960 gaming 4g
Cpu: amd fx 4300(native oc of 3.9~4ghz)
Ram: 12gb x3 ddr3 1600
Os: Windows 7 64 bit home premium
Hdd: 1tb Toshiba 7200rpm

550w is more than enough. Anything by Seasonic, XFX, Antec, or the EVGA GS 550w or Rosewill 550w Capstone would be great.

550w should be enough. However whenever i build i always like to give myself a very decent ammount of headroom. it is a very good 550w. I would if you want a 750w however go for an Xfx pro xxx 750 or an EVGA supernova 750 b2 or g2

The minimum recommended is 550w, but I would recommend you to get a 600w+so you can be closer to 50% load when you play games, when PSU have higher efficiency.

No the EVGA G1 is not very good. Get something in the 550-750w range by Seasonic, XFX, Antec, or the EVGA GS/G2.

Well I am interested in modular psu and I would figure a 620w is the least I would go so I have room for future upgrades sli and oc
