Help finding a wireless adapter

Sadly I am having to buy a wireless adapter, I am having to move my pc and Ethernet can't come with me. My motherboard doesn't have built in wireless (MSI Z97-G55 SLI motherboard). I am having trouble figuring out which one to buy. My new location is directly above the modem on the next floor. I just need to be able to a decent ping while playing FPS games. Any suggestions of a wireless adapter? I would love for it to be under $50 and be PCI-E based. Any help is a appreciated.
