Hi! I am thinking about purchasing a new mini pc for office use (no gaming, but yes to play some videos in it too). It must be fanless. I am seeing offers of fanless silent mini pcs running on Intel i7. Please, see links below. Question is: are those mini pcs really running on full i7 or they have some throttle in order to keep the pc from overheating?

Any advice is welcome.

Hi It, going by the computer you have linked, it is technically an i7 processor in the computer in the computer. It's just from the low wattage series of chips that Intel supplies for things like notebooks and laptops.

I use a computer in the same vein as you linked at work that uses a low watt cpu and it is completely fanless. The TDP of the chips is generally low enough that they can be passively cooled.
