Help! Folder icons are wrong on the desktop!

My icons on the desktop have a weird white box covering the bottom three quarters of the folder! When I create a new folder it's fine for a little bit, then the same thing happens! Please help me!

Hi, try [resetting the icon cache] to see if that helps.

Have you made any icon modifications? Such as removing the little shortcut arrow that normally shows up on the bottom/left side? If you have made any modifications (usually a program, or registry file), then restore those back to normal.

Thanks for your quick reply, I reset the icon cache, it didn't work at first but I moved it out of the desktop and back and now it's working for now . I will wait a day and if it comes back I will tell you, but thank you so much!
