I'm new to this group and printer problems. I'd appreciate any advice I
could get. I have a Canon S820 for the past 2 and a half years and it's
worked great up to a week ago. According to the test print out of the
nozzle pattern the cyon and photo magenta nozzels are clogging. I have been
refilling the tanks with Stratitec refill inks for all the two and a half
years. I called Canon service and the tech recommended I buy a couple of
genuine Canon tanks and deep clean the print head with their ink. I tried
that but it didn't lead to any improvement. Is there any suggested way to
clean them - with water, windex or something? A new print head from Canon
would cost about $75 - almost as much as a new printer.

Check these sites out for suggestions on how to unclog your print

Well, blasting pressurized air into the print head is actually not a good
thing to do. I did it to my partially clogged head it became fully clogged.
Neil Slade's air blast method is one method I will not try again.
