Help for a school laptop recommendation

I need a new laptop since my macbook does not support the apps I need for my classes, those apps being autoCAD and mathlab. My budget is around $1000 and was hoping for a laptop that can handle light gaming like 2d fighting games. Mostly I hope there is one that has reasonable battery size and somewhat lightweight.

I bought one for my son and he loves it. You can get larger SSDs and pay closer to your $1000

They both have way better integrated graphics than anything else out there in their class
