Hello guys im planning on building a new 1080p gaming PC for about $600.
It's going to be my first build. I've read and watched a lot of articles and videos about it.
So far I have decided no overclocking and no sli or crossfire.
About mobo I've decided to get a LGA1150 socket with 1 SATAe for the HDD and 1 m.2 for future SSD upgrade.
I'm not sure if I can use the SATAe and m.2 at the same time for 2 different devices. If not I'm going to plug the SSD in the m.2 and the HDD in the 6gb/s
Cheapest one I could find is the GIGABYTE H97-D3H.

CPU wise I'm having trouble choosing between
I3-4170 priced at $135
Specs link
I5-4460 priced at $210

I'm not sure how they compete performance wise so any help would be really appreciated.
If they are really not that different I'm going to get the i3 because it's cheaper. I would really like the i5 though.
No plans for buying a cooler. I think the stock will do just fine.
For a GPU I'm thinking about
EVGA GTX950 OC+
Specs link
Power color R9 285
Specs link
Price wise the 285 is about $15 cheaper. I found a comparison between them and it showed that the 285 had around 10% more FPS in various games than the GTX. Again any advice would be great.
For PSU I'm thinking about EVGA 500w if i pick the GTX or either the same for the 285 if it is good enough to do the job or a FSP Hyper 600w if the 285 needs more watts.

FSP Hyper 600w specs link
Both PSUs supply enough amps for either card. Also I'm going to get a case with a hole for the PSU on the top. The EVGA seems to be designed for a bottom case as far as I can see from the photos on the net. Let me know if I can just flip the PSU without having to drill holes in the case.
RAM is going to be Kingston fury 2x4gb DDR3 1600 Mhz.
HDD I'm going to get a Toshiba P300 7200 rpm 64mb cache 500gb. I don't actually need more than 500gb storage and given the price of $54 i think it's a good deal.
Case is going to be a mid tower ATX form nothing special.
Let me know if the build is ok or bottlenecking will occur and where.
Any suggestions for other mobo or cpu or gpu or psu are welcome

The i3 should be fine. I would also go for the R9 285, better performing and cheaper. See if the R9 380 or GTX 960 are available in your price range as well.

You will want a good PSU for your gaming rig. None of those are particualrly good. Try to stick with an Antec, Seasonic, or XFX unit. A power supply from tiers 1-2 on this list would be ideal:

Ram looks good.

Also 1TB hard drives are usually not more expensive than 500GB drives... again comes down to availability but also something to look into.

Thanks for the advice. Sadly the 380 and 960 are too expensive for me to buy.
Will a 500w psu be good for 285 or I need a 550w or 600w? And if the psu has its fan on the top can i put it in a case with a top mount psu? In other words flip it upside down.

Unfortunately I'm not from the states
Above build is fine except for the mobo i want it with satae and m.2.
The r9 285 is out of stock and they are not going to receive any soon. In every other store it's way more expensive.
I found r9 380 2gb and gtx 960 for the same price though. Both are 10% more expensive than the 950. Now the question is are they 10% better than the gtx 950 and is r9 380 2gb better than the gtx 960. What do you think?

EDIT: Are these cards going to run well with the i3 4170?
