Help for my r7-2700 purchase b350 vs x470

Hi all, I've been able to research enough to know that i want to buy the amd r7-2700 and save a bit of money there and just overclock it myself, but I know nearly nothing about motherboards and haven't been able to figure out what I want. I'll be running a 1070 and I already have an h100 cooler.

I know b350 is the bare bones what I'll need to overclock but is it worth spending more to get the 470? trying to keep my total under 430-450 so any motherboard recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The thing about the B350 is the bios update required to run 2nd-gen Ryzen CPUs. Unless you can find a B350 mobo that is advertised as supporting 2nd-gen Ryzen, then there is no gauruntee that it will work without a compatible CPU to administer the update.

That said I would avoid the possible headache of an incompatible mobo and get the X470. The Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming looks good in the lower priced tier of X470 boards.
