Hi guys, I seriously need help overclocking the Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz to 3.0/3.2Ghz with a Intel DG31Pr motherboard. :??: I have already googled a lot but havent found any instructions to overclock using my the Intel DG31PR motherboard. 🙁 I even checked my BIOS, but it only gave me the specs of my hardware and no access to change them. My PC specs are as follows:-

Motherboard- Intel GD31PR
Processor- Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz
RAM- DDR2SD 4Gb RAM
Graphics Card- nVidia Quadro FX1700 (p588)
Average CPU Temprature- ~42*C
OS- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Please give me step by step instructions including the voltage to set.
Check this url for more PC Specs- Complete Specs
Ask for any other specifications about anything if you need but please help me on this!!
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

THIS THREAD IS CLOSED. I GOT A SOLUTION. (NOT EXACTLY A SOLUTION THOUGH, RATHER A RESEARCH THAT TOLD ME TO STOP TRYING TO OVERCLOCK MY SPECIFIC MOBO). AND THANKS FOR YOUR HELP CYCLE_REPAIR_MAN.

Solution
Assuming that your motherboard allows it, you can only overclock by increasing the FSB. There are plenty of good guides out there, so there's little point in copy/pasting someone else's work.

In my experience, FSB overclocking only offers a 200-300Mhz increase at best.

Thanks for the help bicycle_repair_man. I looked up on the internet and found out that OC'ing an Intel mobo is impossible. 🙁 Anyways thanks for the help. :)
