Every one of those cards is listed in this digest, click on the game/resolution to see performance.

The 6600 is easily the best of the bunch. If the 9550 is 128-bit it almost keeps up with the 6200, but if it's a 64-bit it won't come close. The FX5900XT is hard to place. In some older games it would be close to a 6600, but in newer ones be far behind. Matter of fact, in HL2, it gets beat out by all the others (when running DX9 codepath).

thx for the useful website..
the data really surprise me..
before i thought 5900xt is not a bad card@@

actually my friend mostly plays bf2 or wow..both using dx9

base on the data if using dx9
6600>9600xt>6200=9550 128bit>9550 64bit>5900XT
is it right?

and what is the differet between 6200 and 6200td?

oh yes..can his mb(support4xonly) bring the 6600 into full play?

LOL, I wouldn't go as far as saying a FX5900XT is under a 64-bit R9550, but it is clearly in my opinion under a 9600 pro for newer DX9 games. Halflife 2 defaults the FX5900's to DX8.1 so the framerates will actually be quite good, just not rendering the nice DX9 water reflections. I am not sure how it would do in BF2, as I just shy away from all GFFX's and besides looking for an occasional good laugh don't bother with FX benchies.

Don't worry about AGP 4X vs. 8X. It's a non-issue and you wouldn't see a difference if 8X could be enabled in any of these cards.

If your friend can't get a GF6600GT caliber card, I'd have him look for a Radeon 9800 pro 128MB 256-bit, or a used Radeon 9700 pro. But from your list a plain 6600 would be ok also a little ove the radeon 9600XT/pro.
