im want to upgarding my super old pc its dual core duo e4300 with 2 gb ram and geforce 8600gt im living in egypt so the prices so high relative to salary im began to choose my cpu and i confused between fx 6300 or i3 4160 beacuse i see many many benchmarks and review for both and amd fanboys say fx 6300 better and intel fanboys saying i3 4160 is better finally i see a good benchmarck and i think it was the best for me but make me confused and i have some questions
http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/5766/3/amd-fx-6300-vs-intel-core-i3-4330-budget-gaming-cpu-deathmatch-performance-in-games
1-in amd graphic cards:first with r 270x on meduim i3 win but on high they have same fps
second with r 280x:eek:n meduim i3 win most games but on high this time fx 6300 win

2-in niviada graphic cards:with gtx 760 on meduim i3 wins most of games but on high they have same fps
withgtx 770 i3 win on meduim or high

this benchamrck say the i3 or fx 6300 have same performance in gaming but does that mean amd cpu have better performance with amd gpu and intel has better performance with nivida gpu

i want to understand really this benchamrck...

Benchmarks tend to be biased a lot of the time. CPUs don't care what GPUs are attached although if you go into multiple GPUs it is a little harder to find AMD SLI boards and Intel Crossfire ones. A FX-6300 is probably a better buy then the i3 although plan on overclocking it to get good performance. The best GPU option in that list is the GTX 770, but only if it is sub-$200. I saw a R9 290 on sale for $239 with a $30 rebate at Newegg the other day, though, which blows away everything below a 970/390. Might be something to look into.
