I just got done doing a cap kit (my first one ever)on a G07 19".

Before i took the chassis off the frame there is a black wire that is
connected to the tube and looks like a ground strap.

This wire is not the degaussing coil.

i just need to know where the wire hooks in to. I believe is it on the
neck board from the schmatics but where on the neck board i have no
idea.

if someone has a pic of this or can help i would be really
appreciative.

Also i was wondering, i did not do the sync mod, should i do it or just
wait to see if i have a horizontal curl.

Lastly, i heard that the G07's like a composite sync should i use the
jumper on the negative sync for ms pac man or not.

thanks in advance (tia),

this group is awesome they have helped me very much and i have enjoyed
collecting and fixing up some classics over the past year.

Frank

my current collection:
track and field cocktail, ms pac cocktail, Galaga UR.
Summer projects to finish:
Star wars UR, Multi Williams UR, Double Donkey Kong UR.

If its the wire with a round connector, there is a pin on the corner
of the neck board that it connects to.

the wire is the Dag ground for the CRT and can be grounded to any point on
the monitor chassis or on any ground pad or run on the neck or monitor PCB

there are 2 different tabs you can connect it to on the neckboard. both
tabs have the same letter next to them.

thanks to all that replied.

it does hookinto the neck board at either of two place both labeled "E"
on the neck board.

its is now working, but i have some new problems which i will be fixing
soon.

1) missing green - need to test green color transistors i believe.
2) keeps rolling vertically - dont know yet the problem.
3) broken width coil - will be ordering new one tommorrow from zaden.
4) B+ at 105 V and wont change when adjusted.

2) keeps rolling vertically - dont know yet the problem.

Check to make sure that you are inputting the correct sync signal if
you aren't able to adjust this out with the hold pot.

4) B+ at 105 V and wont change when adjusted.

Check the two large cereamic resistors closest to the voltage
regulator for the proper resistance. One of them may be going out of
spec.
