Hi there,

I am trying to organise my files and programs and have somewhere to back up the important stuff. Right now i need some advice on where to put things.

these are all my internal drives and what they currently house.
120GB SSD (full) - contains my OS and other programs (office, ableton, etc)
512GB SSD (full)- contains some of my steam games (the ones I play more often)
64GB SSD - currently empty
2TB 7200 RPM (barely half full) - the rest of my steam games, as well as my Origin and Ubisoft games.
2TB 5400 RPM Green drive (barely half full) - movies music and pictures.

Like I said I want to have a drive dedicated to backup, ideally the green 2tb drive. I would like to know your opinions on where I can move things or re install programs to.
I have no idea what to do with the 64GB SSD!
any help is greatly appreciated :)
Thanks

If all the SSD's are about the same speed, and your motherboard supports it, you could build them into an JBOD array, so it will appear as 1 SSD of ~700 mb. On that you can install your OS, programs and most played games.
I would then keep only the 7200 rpm drive for other files and disconnect the 5400, only connecting it for backup purposes. Ideally you install it into a external usb case so you can easily connect/disconnect it and keep it in a safe place.

I'm not sure about the JBOD array as all of my SSDs are of different brands and different speeds. The external drive idea would be a good one as it would save space and power.
