help get my pc quieter

i am trying to find the source of all the noise comming from my pc
i have a thermaltake armor case, stock cooling on my amd athlon64 3700, gigabyte 7800gt and hiper 580watt type r psu. Which of these should i change to drop the fan noise of my pc.

I would say, do it in steps and stop when it's quiet enough for you.
Begin with the fan on your graphics adapter, then the processor's fan, then the case fans, then the power supply, then the hard disks, then the case...maybe the case a little earlier...I dunno how quiet your case is. But the biggest noise-makers probably are your graphics adapter's fan and your cpu-fan. Maybe your northbridge-fan, I don't know if you even have one,

This may sound crazy, but it will work. Take the cardboard tube out of a roll of paper towels, put one end against your ear and the other end close to each area of possible noise (fans, power supply, etc). This will basiclly isolate the noise from each area and let you know what should be replaced with a quiter component.

I know it sounds crazy........but it is a low-tech solution to your problem.
