Help getting fans in case setup

Hi I have a build in an NZXT vulcan case and I would like to make some changes to the case fan configurations because it is louder than I would like it to be. The CPU is watercooled using a closed loop watercooler and I have an xfx hd 7870 core edition as my GPU.

Currently I have a 120mm fan on the front as an intake and a 120mm on the top as exhaust along with the fan for the radiator mounted to the back. The two 120mm fans are the stock fans that came with the case.

I would like to get quieter case fans so I was thinking about getting 2 spectre 120mm LED fans for the top, 1 120mm spectre without LEDs and possibly a 200mm fan for the side panel. However I am running a ASUS M5A88-M motherboard which, as far as I can tell, does not allow fans to be connected directly to it. This means that I have the 2 fan controller nobs that come on the NZXT vulcan to control all these fans.

What is the best way to set the case fans up so that they are able to cool effectively during gaming while keeping them as quiet as possible?

Thanks!

Your motherboard supports Fan Xpert in bios or software. There are pre defined settings in the bios for CPU and case fans.
You motherboard has on case fan and one cpu fan connector.
You can purchase Fan splitter adaptors to connect 2 fans to one fan header.
2 adaptors would allow you to connect 4 fans to the motherboard for automatic temperature control.
For automatic fan control I would probably connect the two top fans to the case fan connector on the motherboard and the side 200mm and cpu fan to the CPU fan header.
Then attach the front fan to the controller.
With this setup fan speeds are controlled by the motherboard depending on CPU temperature.

You can install the Fan Xpert software and define custom fan curves if the motherboard bios settings do not suit your preferences.

What about the fan that is attached to the radiator for the CPU water cooler?
