I have this camera SNC-CX600 camera that I can't get to connect to Wi-Fi.
If I hardwire it to my network, it comes up instantly with an IP in my router. Once I take the CAT5E out and try to connect via WPS nothing happens. I've tried power cycling it(hard resetting it by pushing in little reset button and then powering up) but it still doesn't show up in my router.
The network light on the camera does NOT come on when I unplug the CAT5.
I made sure to enable WPS functionality in my router(it wasn't enabled when I started)
The Router is an Actiontec R1000H. The WPS light blinks now that I enabled the WPS functionality in the settings(the light was inactive when I started).
Is there a way for me to test to see if the wireless dongle is functional at all? This cam sat around my work for a few years in a cabinet so I'm wondering if something dinged it(there is no outward sign of damage).
My co-worker suggested I plug the cam directly into a laptop and then change the IP of the laptop to match the camera? I've never heard of doing that. Is this something to consider?
Any help from some experts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
