[SOLVED] Help getting two extra RGB fans up and running

My new Christmas build is up and running great. I last built a PC over ten years ago and never worked with rgb fans.

Specs:
AMD 2700x
Patriot Viper RGB 16GB 3200
MSI B450 Pro Carbon AC
XFX RX580 8GB GTS
EVGA 750 G3 Gold
Case: Cooler Master H500 Mesh

I got this Cooler Master LED Controller. I installed one of the three fans on the back and plugged it directly into the board, no problems. MSI Mystic light recognizes it and is controllable through that software.

The other two I mounted on top but not exactly sure what I'm suppose to connect them to or with. I got the controller mounted, connected the usb cable to the board, SATA power to the power supply and software installed. It has power and the software shows its there. I've plugged the two needed little cables in the controller slots 1 and 2 that I assume somehow go to the fans. My google-fu has failed. I see lots of info but it's just pieces I think apply to me but other bits that don't. Need help making sense of it all in my case.

Just need help with what goes where.

TL;DR Need help getting two rgb fans up and running using a cooler master led controller with this left over

Bonus question but not important right now. My 2700x just rotates through colors and I can't control it through MSI mystic light.

Do read the "CM Masterfan Pro 120 Air Flow RGB 3in1 With RGB LED Controller" manual though. It's all explained there. Fan connection is page 5 and 6,

Either use the RGB controller to connect all 3x CM fans to it,
OR
buy this: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cooling-rgb-accessories/1-to-3-rgb-splitter-cable/
ditch the RGB controller all together, connect all 3x fans to the RGB splitter and plug the other end to your MoBo, for MSI Mystic Light control.
