HELP! GPU Won't get detected!

So i got the last part i needed to build my new pc yesterday, i tried the 1070 on my old pc and it worked just fine but for some reason im getting no signal on the pc i just built.. i tried changing wich gpu to use in the mobo and i even tried moving it to a different PCI-E slot.. here are the specs:

**GPU : GTX 1070 ASUS DUAL**


**CPU : I5-6500 3.2GHZ**


**PSU : SEASONIC G SERIES 550W +80GOLD**


**MOBO : GA-B150-HD3**


**RAM : Hyper X 8GB 2666MHZ**


**CASE : NZXT S340**


**SSD : INTEL 480GB**


**HDD : HITACHI 7800RPM 1TB**

I tried chaning HDMI cables, chaning the slot on the monitor, turning it on and off but nothing.. i don't see the gpu on the device manager either so what could be the problem? i didnt use the disk that came with the MOBO because i got no optical drive, i tried searching for the MOBO drivers online and i didnt found anything related to the PCI-E, just sound, LAN and the Chipset.
I did a clean install of windows 10 on the SSD and i didnt format the HDD so what's going on?
Please im pulling my hairs off because i can't make it work
All the components are brand new and i got them last month.. except for the HDD wich im not even booting windows on hope i can find an answer here..

Any more info you need ill gladly answer back

Check if the HDMI cable is connected to the graphic card and not the motherboard, also try downloading latest drivers from nvidia website.

HDMI Cable is connected to the GPU but its always booting with the iGPU instead.. no matter wich slot its connected to its always booting with iGPU and i don't see any unknown device on the windows Device Manager
I tried downloading the drivers but when i try to install them it says my hardware isnt Nvidia

I think that the PCIe slot is broken, try the other PCIe slot.

How could the PSU be the problem? the card has a small LED that indicates if its getting power or not.. when its connected to the mobo but its not getting power it turns a red LED, when it has the power it turns white
also i've seen ppl who run a better rig than me with only 500w
the mobo did detect my old 660.

I think that the PCIe slot is broken, try the other PCIe slot.

I don't think it is, just plugged my old 660 and it worked

So, your 660 is working fine with the same motherboard and with the same PCIe slot? Then there is no problem with your motherboard. I suggest you to go to a local retail shop and try some other 550w PSU or if you can lend one of your friend's PSU for a while and check if it works.

One more thing 1070 needs 8 pin power supply and 660 needs only 6 pin. So, do you have a 8 pin power supply to power up your 1070?

My PSU is semi modular, i have the option to plug an 1x8 pin cable.. i was using it on the old build
I also can't use the old PSU because im pretty sure it only has a 6 pin cable..

Doesn't mean it is getting good power, this is trying to narrow down the issue, since the motherboard and slot work with an older card, that leaves the 1070 itself, which runs on the other pc with that other psu, so what does that leave to try? the older psu in the new system with the 1070. if that works your new psu has issues. I had a friend that had a 600 watt psu that would not run his radeon 280x, where i had a 620watt that ran it fine.

Well i don't have any way to test that out.. other than spending more money..
All my friends play on consoles and my old PSU doesn't have a 8 pin connector

6 pin to 8 pin converter, go to a local retail shop and get this or take your PSU to a local retail shop and check it out with them.
