Hello there I am looking to build a PC here's what I have

Case CoolerMaster HAF 912 Advanced 115
CPU Intel Core i5 2500K 219
Motherboard Asus P8P67-M PRO Motherboard B3 159
RAM G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 99
HDD Western Digital Green 2TB WD20EARX 89
Power Corsair TX-750 V2 Power Supply 145
Optical Samsung SH-222AB SATA DVDRW Drive 29

I don't know what graphics card to get
2x 6950's (flash to 6970)
2x 6970's (hear they run hot and loud)
2x GTX 570's
1x GTX 580 (sli later)

And I don't even know about the previous gen of graphics cards.
I'll be running at least a 1920x1200 and mabye a 2560x1440 moniter.
I hear single card solutions have less complications so that would be my preference but its no big deal to sil or Xfire

If you're running a single 1200p monitor then i suggest the GTX 580 and SLI later when you run your second monitor. But if you want to SLI these high end cards then you're going to need to upgrade your power supply, possibly to an 850W Corsair HX or equivalent (Antec TruePower, Silverstone Decathlon, Seasonic X Series). You're right about the 6970's running loud, but they give excellent performance, especially in multi-monitor situations.

To be honest, all the options you listed aren't bad, but i personally would go one GTX 580 for now and SLI later when you go to a multi-monitor setup.

Ok thanks I was thinking of the corsair HX 850
If you had to recomend one of the lower cards for now then sli/Xfire later what would it be?
