HELP GTX 1080 drivers invalid data. Even with updated windows

So I just got the GTX1080 turbo fan version from Gigabyte and after I switched out my GX680 with the 1080 the computer took forever to boot to windows and when it finally did the window is too big so I can't even see the bottom half and the right half of my window. And when I try to change the resolution from advance settings it will just turn the screen black for like 2 minutes then come back to what it was before I tried all the res. I looked at the device manager and the status on the card says " GTX 1080 has a problem and it's not using any resources. "

Here is my specs windows 10 64bit version-1600+ (Don't remember the last two digit) 16gb i7 3820k 240SSD

AND here is what I've tried so far

-uninstalling the 680 drivers
-installing the driver from the cd
-installing driver from Nvidia Experience
-installing driver directly from the website
-reinstalling drivers from device manager it will say the drivers and it will say drivers is up to date.
-then I uninstall the device, scan for hardware change then install new drivers on it again it now it will say "invalid data" instead. With the exclamation point.
-download windows media creation tool re update my computer and download DDU from GURU3D to uninstall all nvidia drivers, clean reinstall nvidia drivers from manual download thru website. (Bc now nvidia experience can't connect to server anymore only show update available but not downloadable so I have to get it from the website)

Anyone got an idea what the problem is? I had to keep switching between the GTX 680 to try to fix it then go back to GTX 1080 to test to see if it worked or not. It's such a hassle lol. Cause I can't work on it with the GTX1080 with half the screen gone and couldn't change the resolution on it. Oh and btw in the GTX 1080 only the DVI port shows desktop (I don't know if this info help or not)

Arrrh actually the last attempt worked using DDU and then Windows media creation took and clean reinstall drivers from the website of nvidia allowed me to install the correct drivers and brought my windows back to full resolution and even allow me to connect my hdmi duo monitor, but ones I restarted the computer it took forever to load and it doesn't let me load to the HDMI again.

I've seen somebody post about changing or flashing the bios but I don't know how to do that and in the gigabyte bio screen it doesn't let me use my Logitech spectrum keyboard to select boot options do I have to use a older keyboard for that? Plus I don't know what to do in boot options....

okay i fixed it. i updated the bios on the motherboard and removed the pci eithernet port underneath the gpu before installing the gtx 1080 and then everythign worked fine went to desktop mode and installed the driver. then install the pci eithernet port back.
