Help! GTX 970

New Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970... About 2 months in...

NOTE: THIS IS NOT COIL WHINE, I AM POSITIVE, SO DON'T TELL ME IT IS.

When gaming, the fan noise overpowers this slightly annoying sound, so I dont care in gaming...

However when the GPU is idling, NOT ALL THE TIME, Random sounds come from inside the computer, I suspect my GPU. Its way lower pitched than coil whine, and it can happen randomly. IT NEVER IS ALWAYS ON, MAYBE I will hear it 2-3 times every minute. COuld something be brushing up on the fans? Take GPU out and put it back in? Right now in this sentence, its quiet... 34 seconds later the noise comes on for 5 seconds... Weird....

is it like a humming rattle, fairly quiet but just loud enough to hear it? thats what mine does sometimes when i first got it but after doing alot of benchmark tests and getting it really hot i rarly hear it. same card.

yea then we have the same thing. i wouldnt worry about it since it seems to be common, could be a fan making a noise at a certain speed or something similar.
