help gtx 970

I just installed my new gtx 970 and it works but! its as slow as my previous card which was a gtx 750.. im using a benchmark application and im only getting 4 more frames over my 750... when i ran battle field 4 on ultra it did amazing but when i ran benchmark it did bad.. its being throttled i think idk why.. i ran battlefield in the background and then the benchmark and it did amazing until i got kicked from battlefield 4 the the frames went from 60 something to 10
