Will my emaxx emx-ih61le-icafe MOBO be compatible with a Radeon HD 7870 GPU?? my main concern being the 2 pci-e slots needed to power it

Where did you read that you needed two PCIe slots? It need two PCIe connectors from the power supply unit, not the motherboard.

Concerning the motherboard, it will work just fine. Make sure you power supply unit is up to the task, though!

It will work.make sure that you have good cpu with hd 7850.
