[SOLVED] Help HDD not detected in disk management

My wavlink HDD dock made 2 of my backup hdd corrupted or inaccessible for almost 4 times already since January. The Seagate 3 times, WD 1 time.

It's done it so many times that I've given up on the files on the Seagate drive, and used it as a test sample on what makes the hdd dock do this to my drives. So far nothing made sense and it just does it whenever it wants to, I think the dock is now faulty.

I tried fixing/recovering the drive with cmd but after fixing the drives, the files dont show when exploring

I tried using SeaTools to check if theres something with my drive. it passed everything 100% but the advance testing made it undetectable in Seatools and disk management.

because of all this <Mod Edit> I accidentally tested another drive that contains all my important files.

This hitachi drive became not initialized, now it asks me to make it GPT or MBR. It's status in disk manager is Unallocated. i haven't formatted it yet.

Im planning to buy a data recovery software. Any recommendations on what to do?

1. Seagate = not detected
2. Hitachi & WD = unallocated

all of this drives are 100% healthy

Okay first of all do not format any drives

Have you tried plugging the drives directly into your motherboard?
Maybe different sata ports?

Looks like the dock is corrupting the MBR of the drives.

Plug the drives directly into the motherboard and run data recovery software.

Do not try to format the drives or alter partitions or anything.

There are a number of data recovery softwares but imo EaseUS data recovery is the best bet.
There are other recovery softwares out there but I've used EaseUS before and it has worked like a charm.

Download the free trial and see whether it can find your data.
The free version will let you recover up to 500MB I think.

Buy the full version once you see that EaseUS has found your files from your HDD.

Always remember, it takes a long time to scan corrupted hard drives for data.
In case of big drives, it will take multiple hours to scan all the files.
So let the scan finish.

I'll see what I can do with EaseUS trial. Any idea what to do with my Seagate drive? It doesnt get detected at all

The seagate drive is accessible now, I just need to see if I can recover some of my files there. Im still making an image for the Hitachi drive

Uh I'd say don't do anything with the drives and just run data recovery on them if you wanna save the data?

And after you're done with data recovery if you want to use the drives again, try AOMEI partition assistant or something like that to try to rebuild the MBR.
Or try the repair partition option.

This has worked for me before but it doesn't work all the time .

I was able to get some files using disk digger on the Hitachi Drive but they are named by sector location so it's harder to sort.

EaseUS recovers some with name but not all.

Btw, I'm on a laptop. How does this AOMEI partition rebuild works?
