hmm hey guys,

I just bought a new Inno3d GeForce 8600GT (my geforce 8400gs broke) it has 2 DVI outputs on it

i want to use my VGA monitor with this card

what do i need to buy to use my VGA monitor with this card?

You just need a DVI to VGA adapter like this one:

KINGWIN ADP-01 DVI-I MALE (24 + 5 pin) to VGA HD 15 Female Adapter

but on the card it has 2 DVi connectors for output

and i already have a DVIA CONNECTOR LIKE THIS

Take another look at shortstuffs link. You plug one end into the card, and the other has a plug that will take your Dsub/VGA cord. Its the one you want.

The Inno3D spec page you linked to says it has dual dual-link DVI outputs. That means the outputs on the graphics card are like the DVI-D picture you linked to. All you do is plug the adapter I linked to into your graphics card and then plug your VGA cable into the other end of the adapter.

Only need to use one output on the video card. They just provide two so you can hook up more than one monitor if you want.

There's only one way to find out. DVI-A stands for DVI-Analog, so it should work fine with VGA which is also analog.

Only if you want to run two monitors. You only use one output per monitor.
