I installed an xp2100 cpu on my a7m266 mobo. the bios has already been updated to 1007 to give it support, and when i started it up for the first time, my monitor does not initialize, it wont go on. thermal paste is on the cpu, and the cpu fan is spinnig. Any help would be great. Thanks.

You mean nothing was shown on the monitor screen at all? Did you hear any beep code during POST? Check the connection of monitor cable. Also reseat your graphics card.

I get no beep code at post. The monitor wont initialize. I put back my old processor and everything was fine.

Your board might not support your cpu. Ie the multiplier on the 2100XP is too high, you can try opening the multiplier but may stil not work if you can't access the bios.

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!
