HELP I can't find OR open my cd/dvd drive

my Toshiba Satellite cd/dvd drive won't open and does not even show in/on 'my computer'

Which Satellite do you have specifically? are you sure it's actually fitted with a CD/DVD drive?

Many laptop series use the same chassis, with only some fitted with the drive. The others have a space where it could go, usually covered by the same coloured plastic to fill the gap.
