Help I dropped my seagate external hard drive! It will not connect!

I dropped it. It was making a weird beeping noise but has now stopped. It will not connect to my computer still thought.

looks like you'll be buying a new one. If its offered, get the extended warranty plan that covers 'being dropped'. Best Buy usually has a plan that does.

If it's under warranty then RMA but don't mention its been dropped, if there are signs that its been dropped i.e. cracked case then you are SOL.

I'd try the RMA/return route prior to purchasing another.
