Hey Guys, I was looking to update my Acer Asprire M1200 Motherboards BIOS to the latest version. I was running W7 when I used the windows BIOS installer. It restarted the computer and now the BIOS hangs when it asks me to Run Setup or load default values. I pulled the CMOS trying to reset it, but that didn't work. When the BIOS starts it beeps twice. pauses then beeps once more. Its and American Megatrend BIOS. Please let me know if that can be fixed and how to.

Hey guys, thanks or response, But the BIOS freezes and does not respond to any keystokes. When i cleared the cmos i put the jumper to clear and powered it on, then disconnected everything to put the jumper back. I believe the board is original OEM, I bought it second hand so im not sure. But looks like the spec sheet. It came in the Acer M1200 case. I got the bios from the Acer support site so its official.

I might have a ps2 - USB converter lying around. I also ordered a new bios chip from bios-chip24 for the motherboard. would that fix it if its got the new bios pre-flashed? Ill try the new keyboard, and get back to you

okay good, I was worried I was pooched! So there is hope. Just sucks I have to wait a while to get the chip from germany
