I am an idiot. I have two different computers that i am working on. One is an old HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF with a 260w PSU. The other is my current Gaming Rig with a Thermaltake SMART 550W PSU. My new GPU had just arrived, and like an idiot, i plugged it into te HP Compaq and booted it up. I got all the way into the windows loading screen before it shut down. I pulled the card out and now the PC has some strange symptoms; when power cable is plugged in, no lights show on the mobo and it wont turn on. unplug it, wait a few minutes, plug the power cable back in and mobo lights turn on. The computer also powers on, except no output at all. After a few seconds of being on without output, the PSU fan(only the PSU fan) maxes out and spins loudly. Can someone PLS HELP ME!?!
TLDR: Overloaded an old power supply and now the pc wont turn on unless you unplug it, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in. then it turns on, but no display output. after a few seconds of being on without any output, PSU fan maxes out. then i just pull the pug and it turns off. PLS HELP!?
