ok so i had windows vista x64 installed.
i decided i wanted to play some of my old tony hawks video games, so i tried dual booting.
i installed xp on a second hard drive(not partition).
Now i get directed straight to xp on boot and i cant get back to vista.

Ive tried the programs easybcd and vista boot pro but i cant get either of them to install a dual boot screen.

I just want to get back to windows vista without reinstalling the whole os. and i am not interested in dual booting anymore

Solution
When you installed XP, it overwrote Vista's boot manager. XP's boot manager does NOT understand how to boot Vista - therefore your Vista partition isn't bootable

Boot to your VISTA DVD, accept the Install option, on the second screen in the lower left there is an option to Reiapr - Select that and let it go. When it comes back saying it found a problem,m tell it to fix it. Accept the results, and reboot.
