Help! i3 or i5??

I really need some advice as am very confused! I am buying a new laptop which I use daily for work e.g. Word, PowerPoint, publisher, etc. I often have many documents and programs open at once. Should I buy a i3 or i5?

What is your budgetary constraint? Will this be used for anything other than work? Do you do picture manipulation in your line of work?

Get an i5 with 8GB of ram and without a graphics card.

Thanks so much for your help, I am very grateful. I am a teacher so only basic picture editing, nothing to technical! I just want it to be fast enough to run número use programs at the same time and copy and download things off the Internet at the same time. Budget is about £350 (ish!) thinking of getting the gp pavilion or a Lenovo?
