Help if i could get screen tearing

from my previous question i said that
Gtx 980
i7 4790k
16gb ram
and
gtx 980 ti
i5 4690 non k
8gb
mostly gaming and programming
i choosed the 2nd build
well i just checked my budget i couldnt a afford a new monitor so im going to play to my old monitor 1600x900 will i experience a horrible screen tearing at my monitor? and bytheyway i want to future proof this is just a gift from my parents (but i will pay the half of it) because im only a college student
 
Solution
Using VSync will cause additional input lag, but their are some things you can do to reduce it. Use the Nvidia CP to enable VSync rather than the in game setting, and set max pre rendered frames to 1. The article below also has some other things you can try to reduce latency.

yeah i can do that but im still worried about the input lag though but can i reduce the input lag if i set it to adaptive?

Thanks i will get my computer at april but i will still try to use vsync off but if the screen tearing appear when im gaming i will follow what you said to me 😀 :bounce:
