After taking a look at the pic above, anyone have any easy/best ways to remove these molex connectors? these molex connectors are ones that connect my 120mm side fans to the psu, but they are noisy now and i want to replace them

However, i must be able to remove these molex connectors

Merely pulling them apart with my hands isn't working. Whats the best way?

thanks

Obviously not a very helpful answer. not all molexes can be pulled apart easily, as others in my system can be pulled quite easily with my hands. These two in particular just wont come off

as such, i am still looking for an answer to the best way to pull these two stubborn ones apart

It sounds like that actually pulls the wires out of the connector - then you have to attach another connector?

Have you tried the simple - using a pair of needle nosed pliers to grip the connectors while you pull them apart?

A technique I've used many times: work the blade of a regular screwdriver (straight blade) between the two connector halves where they meet, and twist. Do this at several pints along the meeting line, both sides. This will force the two halves apart gently. The problem I worry about on these is that, given a strong enough grip to REALLY pull them apart, where do your hands and tools fly when the thing suddenly "lets go"?

Now that is too funny.

Seriously though you should just be able to pull them apart. Try squeezing the sides and pull real hard. Don't pull the wires out.........
