So I just got my computer yesterday (Acer Predator) and I was excited. Started to download some stuff that shouldnt affect the problem that I have right now.

Then, this morning, I got a notification to do this intel rapid storage technology thing. I accepted and it finished when I came back home. However, I was missing my (D:\) drive with around 1tb of storage ENTIRELY.

I also pressed the (D:\) in my quick access thing on the left of my file explorer but it just said: "D:\ is unavailable. If the location is on this PC," etc

I checked the Disk Management and this is what it looked like:

This is what my file explorer looks like:

And this is what Intel Rapid Storage Technology looks like:

Thanks for any kind of assistance! :(

Welcome to the TH Community, @Astyra!

Unfortunately, it looks like your secondary 1 TB HDD is nowhere to be found. I'd recommend you check if you have the latest IRST software utility installed and make sure you do it through the computer manufacturer's official website, once you find your model there and select the OS version you are running.
The issue could have been only temporary, so try clicking 'Rescan Disks' in Disk Management after a restart of your system.

IF the problem is still present, do not proceed to tampering with the enclosure of the computer (since it's brand new). Better yet, contact the manufacturer's customer support for assistance with the issue.

Good luck!

If you look at his irst image,

it sees the hdd there, i bet its set up as a cache drive of some sort. It would explain why windows can't see it, I have seen it done before with 32gb ssd but never 232gb. The link I shared shows its happened before with the exact type of laptop he has, so I assume there is a fix in there.
