*help* I'm new to this and not sure how to connect my gtx 280 graphics card + what cables do I need??

Hello,

I'm new to computing and im not to sure how to connect my gtx 260 graphics card to my computer.

It looks like a 6+8 power supply but I only have a 6 power supply cable but if I need a 8 power cable to then where to I plug that in on the motherboard??

Im really confused with all this so any help would be really appreciated!

GTX 260s normally use two 6-pin PCI-E power connectors (these cables will be plugged into your power supply at one end and the video card at the other). What specific model do you have? Also, if you can say what the brand and model of your power supply unit is, that would be helpful.

unless you have a highend power supply you most likely dont have the correct connector, you may need an adapter if your power supply is even sufficient lieting at least the wattage of your power supply would allow us to help you better
